Miss Pancoast is very excited to be teaching in such an amazing school, where both the students and staff have a deep love for the arts. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Temple University in 2003 and a Masters of Education degree in Special Education from Lehigh University in 2009.

Her philosophy for supporting her students at LVPA stems from her coursework at Lehigh as well as her field experience. Her professional background is in the Mental Health field and was a Mental Health Worker for 5 years prior to returning to school for her Masters in Education.

She feels that it is vital for all students with disabilities to have access to appropriate course content in both their academic and artistic areas. The idea of “universal design” (equal access to learning for everyone) guides her each day at LVPA. She defines her role as being an advocate for her students, as well as teaching them the skills that they need to become productive and amazing members of society.

Bethany as been involved with theatre since high school, completing coursework in Theatre at DeSales and acting as the Assistant Drama Director at Nazareth Middle School.
