Mrs. Ayers finds the performing arts high school to be an exciting and rewarding place to teach. She has a strong appreciation for the intersection between creative and academic pursuits. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Windham College in Vermont.
She obtained a Masters degree in Special Education from Lehigh University, where she was awarded with the merit-based Woodring-Villas Scholarship.
Prior to her career in education, she worked in family owned businesses in theatre production and Apple computers. Her educational philosophy is to strive to be “the guide on the side” rather than “the sage on the stage.” She believes in setting a personal example of how to be an active and enthusiastic learner. Her goal is to build academic confidence in young people so that they can visualize themselves as able and eager to learn.
