K.A. Wilson-Kelly’s qualifications include experience and education in Secondary Education, English and the Performing Arts. During her studies of Ballet and Modern dance, she discovered a great love for literature, philosophy and psychology as the interconnected existence of communication and all art forms, a true synthesis of the abstract to create the concrete.
Thus, dance created the inspiration for her academic career. She holds Bachelor of Science, Secondary Education with a major in English, as well as Masters of Education in English and is currently perusing a Masters of Art in Literature and Composition.
With great appreciation for the Arts, Kelly creates a classroom environment dedicated to the dynamic relationship of learning styles, curriculum (including PA standards), literature and composition. She strives to incorporate the relevance of communication as an art and reflection of the individual within the social/ historical ever changing perspectives of society.
She currently teaches Advance Placement Literature and Composition, Advance Placement Language and Composition, Reading/ Writing Workshop and English 10 CP. She enjoys the continuous learning experience teaching affords and looks forward to guiding students in their journey to the future through building problem-solving, critical thinking and rhetorical skills as an art form.
